2019 was quit a year for the end of the biggest franchises the toy story and the Marvel's Avengers.
Their last movies toy story 4 and Avengers endgame Both of the films have set a new benchmark or let as say unbeatable benchmark in their respective genres.
Marvel movies never forget to amaze us with all the engaging story's, great visual effects, world class action scenes, very genuine actings, every minute details, great comics references and many more.
Where as the toy story is a pretty much perfect movie, it is adventurous, it is exciting, it is entertaining and it's good movie for the whole family.
Both the franchise being completely different from one another and totally of different universes but they share some common events
1. PASSING THE MANTLE ON.
During the end of the endgame the cap (captain America) had gone to return the infinite stones to their respective places in time.
Sam Wilson (Falcon) realizes Cap hasn't come returned to the present following his mission. It's at this point, Bucky points to a bench where Old Man Steve can be seen sitting.
There, Steve hands off the shield and Captain America titled Falcon, admitting it was time for Sam to become the symbol of freedom.
It was a very emotional moment and well-earned honour, as Sam almost sacrificed his life on numerous occasions to save Steve and fight for truth, justice in the old American way.
Similarly, There's also a handing off of the baton in Toy Story 4 where Woody passed over the Sheriff's badge to Jessie before he departed on new adventure with Bonnie. He knew the badge would be in safe hands with Jessie. She was seen to be an amazing guardian of the toys in the franchise.
2. THE LAST GOODBYE.
In the final scene we can see Bucky Barnes is hugging Cap, clearly feeling emotional about this being the last time he'll see his bestie who he knows won't return from the time-travel mission to put back the Infinity Stones.
Bucky knew Cap was going to stay in the past with Peggy Carter. He fought enough wars and now he wants to be with the love of his life for the rest of his life
Toy Story 4 has a similar case of Buzz Lightyear hugging Woody who's going off to be with Bonnie, the love of his life.
Buzz was actually the one who convinced Woody to leave the rest of the toys behind as they were in good hands, especially after the Sheriff inspired in them a sense of family, unity and love.
It's very similar to Cap doing the same for Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the MCU, stitching together a common bond of heroism between everyone despite their differences.
While Bucky may not have egged Cap on to stay in the past like Buzz did his partner, he did know what Steve was going to do, and Bucky supported it fully, knowing it was a well-earned retirement.
Obviously, you can point out the simmilarties between Woody and Captain America saying goodbye to their respective friends, handling the mantle over to their successor, and finally being with the love of their life. It’s interesting to see how two different plots and legacy franchises could come to the same central ending.
So with both heroes heading off on a new chapter of true love, they left their most valued possessions - their icons of hope - with people they knew would do right by everyone in order to continue building a better tomorrow.
While the path of the two movies may have been different, Avengers: Endgame and Toy Story 4 share the same destination.
